NOTE

I wrote this piece as part of the composer exchange project and collaborated with flautist/composer Craig Bakalian. The piece is expressive, lyrical and focuses on the contour of the melodic line. The score is marked with the indication with a baroque simplicity, and Craig’s performance of the piece really brings out this refinement. The title refers to the date of completion in relation to the due date of my daughter’s birth.
